Membership MEMBERSHIP IN THE ASSOCIATION The membership in the Association is both Individual and Institutional.
The Association members are divided into the following ranks:
1. Associate Members
2. Regular Members
3. Honorary members Associate Members To become an associate member a person has to be involved in or be interested in clinical research. S/he must share the principles and work according to GCP guidelines. S/he must also be willing to help in the organization of training and educational programs, conferences and other activities and to readily participate in them. Those who wish to become associate members must fill in Associate Membership Request Form.
Associate members are entitled to:
- Be kept informed of the Association’s activities and to obtain materials published and distributed by the Association;
- Participate in conferences and other events organized by the Association;
- May attend all General assemblies of the Association either in person or by proxy;
- During all assemblies of the Association associate members have an advisory vote;
- Benefit from the Association’s assets and the results of its activities.
Associate members are obliged to:
- Abide by the regulations of the Statute of the Association and by the decisions made by its authorities;
- Be involved in the realization of objectives of the Association and take part in its proceedings;
- Work towards increasing the Association’s assets and its public reputation. Regular members The founders of the Association as the Bulgarian law implies are Regular members. To become a regular member the associate member has to be present at three consecutive General Assemblies of the Association.
Regular members are entitled to:
- Participate in conferences and other events organized by the Association;
- Vote at Association General assemblies;
- Elect new regular members and terminate membership rights if a violation of the statute occurs
- Elect and be elected in the Management board;
Regular members are obliged to:
- Abide by the regulations of the Statute of the Association and by the decisions made by its authorities;
- Be involved in the realization of objectives of the Association and take part in its proceedings;
- Present at all General assemblies of the Association either in person or by proxy Honorary membership Honorary membership is credited to outstanding specialists in the field of clinical research and distinguished experts in regulatory affairs who have significantly contributed to its development in Bulgaria. This title is granted by the General Assembly of the Association at the suggestion of the Management Board. The Honorary Member enjoys all the rights of the Regular member except the electoral rights.
